Teri (Towne) Allen

Heaven has welcomed an elegant, witty, generous and beautiful Soul, our beloved Teri Allen.

Teri, known as Mary Towne in her childhood, grew up in Eagle, Idaho on a dairy farm with her parents and four younger siblings. Teri attended St. Mary’s grade school and St. Teresa’s Academy in Boise. She made her family very proud earning the title of Miss Dairy Queen of the local Dairyman’s Association.

After Boise Junior College, Teri’s independent and adventurous spirit took her to Illinois to attend Chicago Flight School.  This was the beginning of a very exciting life raising her only son, Chris, and becoming a flight attendant, a 42 year long career with various airlines that took her all over the world, culminating in her appointment as an Ambassador of Northwest Air.  This was a journey that she shared with the love of her life, the dynamic pilot Bob Allen.

Teri, Bob and Chris lived many places, but ultimately settled in Newport Beach, California, where the warm sun nourished a life of beauty, generosity, travel and love.  Teri will always be remembered as an exceptionally wonderful and welcoming hostess whether it be in their elegant home, or aboard their beautiful boat on ocean cruises to Catalina Island.  Bob and Teri were members of various yacht clubs in their area and nurtured lifelong friendships full of laughter and adventure.  Teri created an absolutely beautiful life and being a part of it was a gift to all who knew her. Her bubbly laugh, quick wit and big heart will be forever missed. Teri is survived by her son Chris (Susie) Dalton. Her siblings: Judy (Francis) Scanlan/ Kopp, John (Irma) Towne, Pat (Karen) Towne and Nancy (Tom) Whittaker.

Numerous nieces and nephews: Jill (Jordan) Nielsen, Jenifer (Bill) Bones, John (Jennifer) Towne, Andy (Ame) Towne, Erika (Dylan) Schneider, Anthony (Sofia) Towne, Brandon (Nancy) Whittaker, Brit (Sarah) Whittaker, and Brandi-Ann (Aaron) Harris.

Numerous great nieces and nephews: Soren, Solvej, Brittany, Logan, Bella, Brady, Lily, Kassidy, Ella, Shayla, Skylar, Cailey, Chantelle, Alyssa, Berniece, Brazen, Brylee, Elena and Byron.

And by her loving lifelong caregiver Angie Garcia. 

Teri was preceded in death by her husband Bob Allen, parents Bernice and Leon Towne, and great niece Zuri Nielsen.
