ARTHUR M CALDWELL

Arthur “Art” Mason Caldwell, 72, of Meridian, Idaho passed away on July 31, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.

 He was born on October 7, 1949, in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert and Patricia Evans.  Art’s mother later remarried to Floyd “Slick” Caldwell, who adopted Art and his younger brother Robert “Mitch” Caldwell, in 1955.  Together, Patricia and Slick raised Art and Mitch with their youngest son, Floyd “Patrick” Caldwell.

Art graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1967, and continued his studies at Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology in 1972.

He went to work for Hewlett Packard in 1979, which is what brought him to Boise, Idaho in 1988.  After retiring in 2004, Art could often be found on the golf course, enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, watching Boise State football games, and traveling to visit loved ones. 

Art is survived by his wife of 33 years, Angela Caldwell of Meridian, Idaho, and children Matthew (Mary) Shriver of Boise, Idaho, Sarah (Anthony) Frazier of Austin, Texas, Joni (John) Shriver of Boise, Idaho, and Jennifer (Scott) Daughtry of Austin, Texas, as well as eleven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Cloverdale Funeral Home - Gibson Chapel.
