Aaron James Link, 42, of Ontario, Oregon died Sunday, June 30, 2019 as a result of a drowning accident. He was born June 11, 1977 in Boise, Idaho, the son of James and Pamela Link. He attended Maranatha Christian, Lake Hazel and Hillcrest Elementary, South Junior High and graduated for Borah High School in 1996. He was a member of Borah’s football and track teams.
He served four years in the watercraft division of the US Army based in Virginia. While serving in the military, he received numerous awards of merit. During that time he met and married Kristie Williams.
Aaron returned to Boise and graduated from the Northwest Lineman College. Upon graduation, he was employed by Probst Electric based in Heber Valley, Utah.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Kristie, stepchildren Allie, Natalie, and Robbie of Ontario, his parents James and Pamela Link of Boise, and his brother, Jay and family of Coos Bay, Oregon. Numerous relatives, and many close friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the members of the Kuna Fire Department, Boise Dive Team, Life Flight, and Ada County Sheriff’s Department and Divers. Special thanks also extends to Mr. Gene Ralston for his expertise in search and discovery.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Memorials can be made in memory of Aaron to Ada County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol.
