Alice A Hollister

Alice Augustine Hollister, born in Winter, Wisconsin in 1923 to Marius and Mary Petit. She met and married Don Hollister and they moved out to Oregon in the great timber boom in the 40s. She was a stay at home mom and raised 6 kids. She was a hard worker and would be ready to go when there was something to do or somewhere to go. And by going I mean we moved a lot due to logging jobs everywhere around Oregon and then later ending up in Idaho to call home. She loved to sew, garden, cook, canning, cut and pack meat, party, hunt, camping and fix up camp trailers but more of all I think she loved fishing because she was sure good at it and being with family. Mom had Dementia for a few years at the end but did the best she could and that was pretty good being 1 month from her 97th b-day. Thanks to all those at Alpine Meadows who loved her and helped take care for her. We will miss you and never forget about you, Best Mom in The World. Still Alice!
