Tribute

Ashley passed away as a result of a tragic accident on the Boise River Saturday June 27th. She was born to Ronald L. and Ramona Surratt at Holloman AFB, Alamogordo New Mexico, the youngest of three daughters on January 8th, 1985.

She is a graduate of Mountain Home High School, class of 2003. She worked at various retail stores in Boise and Alaska where she made many friends. She always followed her grandmother Winnie’s motto of ‘a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet’.

On January 26, 2005, she married Jeremy Saul Cohen and produced two children from their marriage, they divorced March 8, 2019. She is survived by the light of her life, her two children, Leah Pearl Cohen, 14 and Jeremy Saul Cohen Jr., 13. Also she is survived by her parents Ron and Mona Surratt of Mountain Home, sisters Samantha (Marcus) Ray of Lindale TX, Amy (David) Bacca of Boise, grandfather Ronald L. Surratt Sr of Springfield Il. Grandmother Lee Pierson of Oracle Az. Nephews Jackson Bacca, Titus Bacca, and Austin Ray. Niece Ella Bacca. Her fiancé David Blake. Numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She is proceeded in death by her Grandmother Winnifred Alyce (Griffin) Surratt.

Her parents wish to thank those that administered CPR and the doctor and nurses that tried to revive her, even though Ashley didn’t survive, you are our heroes.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Woman and Children’s Alliance or a substance abuse support group of your choice.

Ashley will be missed and loved forever and always by those that knew her.
