Carol Margaret Perry

Carol M. Perry, 60, of Boise, ID passed away peacefully in her home on August 9th 2018.

While living in Elko, Nevada in her youth, Carol enjoyed camping and fishing with her parents. She was very creative with her arts and crafts, which she entered in the Elko County Fair, receiving numerous ribbons.

Carol had a love of dogs, especially Shelties. She took great pride in the dogs she raised throughout the years. Carol’s most recent Shelties, Mandy and Tipper, weren’t just her companions but her kids, always by her side, and ready for any adventure.

Years later, after moving to Boise she befriended, Judy and Bob Burgess, not knowing then the relationships that would be created with the Burgess family. She became a huge part of their extended family, Deanna and Jay Mouser, and their children and grandchildren.

Carol enjoyed every holiday to the fullest but Christmas was her favorite. She would decorate the outside with a nativity scene and lots and lots of lights. On more than one Christmas she would have three Christmas trees inside the house with a specific ornament collection on each tree. Carol loved to host the Christmas parties at her house until medical  reasons moved her into an assisted living home. She continued to share her love of Christmas with the residents of Spring Creek and her dear friend, Judy Burgess.

Carol loved to collect all sorts of trinkets, from trains to angels; she had a passion for the simple things in life. She loved children, and at times loved being a child herself. Carol lived her life with a carefree soul and a loving nature. In memory of Carol, remember to always stop and smell the roses.

Carol was not afraid of leaving us because she knew where she was going when her journey of life was over. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.” Psalm 23:4

The family wishes to acknowledge their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff and residents of Edgewood Spring Creek-Senior Living for providing Carol with a sense of purpose, wonderful friends, and the best care possible.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother Mary (Elmore) Perry, and father O. Wayne Perry. She left behind her soul sister, Judy Burgess, her cousin Glen Elmore and family, her very dear Aunt Edith, her friends that became family and her beloved Shelties, Mandy and Tipper.
