Charles W Brown

Charles “Charlie” Brown, 91, of Nampa, ID, passed away on Saturday, October 16th, 2021 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home of natural causes.

Charlie was born on January 17th, 1930 in Turkey, Texas to Gladys Magee Carmichael and Charles McKimbey Brown. He married Ruth Skeers in December of 1977 and worked at OPMI in California until he retired in 1985. He has lived in San Diego, California, Boise, Idaho, and Weiser, Idaho as a proud Republican. He was a passionate woodworker and had a great all around sense of humor. Charlie was proud to serve in the Army Air Corp and loved working in his woodworking shop.

He is survived by his children Forrest and Linda Mehaffey of Nampa, Idaho, Robert and Joyce Maxin of Missoula, Montana, and David Maxin of Weiser, Idaho; his grandchildren, Stacey Mehaffey (children: Christian, Nathan, Aiden), Melody Love (children: April, Thomas, Alex, Tatiana), Bryan and Katie Wiles (children: Madison, Owen); great grandchildren, Damian, Arabella, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Elizabeth Brown who died in June of 2008, his parents Charles and Gladys Brown, as well as a daughter.

A Visitation will be held at 10AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Cloverdale Funeral Home in the Gibson Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 11AM, followed immediately by the Graveside Committal in Cloverdale Memorial Park.
