Christine Lee Busby came into the world on October 19, 1958, born to Henry Lee (Buz) Busby and Charlene Ruth Busby. She was the light of their lives. She left this world on Monday, June 29, 2020, from natural causes. She will be remembered for her intelligence, wit, and kind spirit. Her love of all animals was one of her endearing traits. She had a remarkable sense of humor which drew people to her.
Early in her life, the family moved from Boise to Klamath Falls, Oregon where Chris attended grade school and junior high. In 1973, they moved back to Boise where she attended high school and graduated from Boise High in 1976. She was a proud member of the drill team and thoroughly enjoyed her high school experience. She later attended Boise State University, studying history and geography.
Chris had various careers throughout her life. While attending college, she was a server at Main Street Bistro and the Cedars Restaurant. She later went to work for Planned Parenthood, then Pacific Builders. She ended her working years after spending the last 18 of them at Blue Cross of Idaho from which she retired in 2015.
She was dearly loved by all of her family members and had many friends, new and old alike, whom she greatly cherished. She never met a stranger.
Chris was a world traveler. Among her exotic excursions were trips to Greece and Egypt. In recent years, she and her Dad (her “traveling buddy”) made multiple trips to Europe on tours and river cruises. They also traveled to scenic wonders here in the USA. These were highlights in both of their lives.
Christine was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Charlene, both sets of grandparents, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her father Henry (Buz), two aunts, and numerous cousins (and also her cat, Boomer). She will be greatly missed by all. Her unforgettable laugh will always be remembered.
Arrangements for cremation are being made through Cloverdale Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s memory may be made to Simply Cats in Boise.
There will be no funeral services at this time due to Covid 19, but, hopefully, a memorial will be held in a few months.
