Tribute

Christopher Micheal Allen Croy

August 8, 1987 - July 11, 2019

With sadness it is announced that Christopher Micheal Allen Croy has passed at the young age of 31 years with severe ongoing complications with his diabetes and heart disease.
Chris was down to earth & caring.  Along with these qualities he would sometimes show a mischievous side with his inappropriate comments just to make his captive audience ever so slightly uncomfortable. All the while focusing on the priceless look on everyone's face. He reveled in people's stunned reactions. His deliberate statements were all about the shock value. He lived for it.
Deep down Chris was really quite polite, gentle & considerate. So confusing at times...Bewildering...he was just a big soft care bear.
This man was one of the most kind & caring friends that you could ever wish for. He was also very social & outgoing. Showing his care for people with his jovial demeanor, accompanied by his animated storytelling & well rehearsed jokes. This combination he delivered was for sure to get you in a good mood. The jokes were followed by a sprinkling of inquisitive questions. This was done to show his genuine interest. He only wanted to see everyone in the room smile and have the mood light.
He was silly & funny with a boisterous infectious laugh. If you picture him in your minds eye - you can hear that laugh of his now... His laughter would light up the room & get everyone rolling; chiming in with their own off colored jokes & inappropriate comments.
This was the unique gift that Chris would give. He's like a naughty Santa Claus... Always the life of any Holiday party.

Chris graduated from BSU in 2007 with a degree in Applied Computer Science. He received his degree at the age of 18 with a 4.0 GPA. He was also on the Deans List with the highest of honors. Shortly after this achievement he became ill with diabetes which lead into some serious heart problems. These health issues interrupted his chosen career path of working with computers. His focus became to help friends & family with their tech issues. He also gave his efforts towards any project his loved ones would have. Chris was  our own personable “Geek Squad”.
Chris loved time amongst a myriad of friends & family who he kept entertained with his antics. Never a boring moment with his sheer audacity & awkward humor. It was jaw dropping.
Those of us so lucky to have crossed his path truly know that we have encountered a very unique & wonderful individual. Anyone that knew him can not help but get a wide toothy grin as they think of him now.
Rest in Paradise. You will be sorely missed.
