Doris Lorene Andrews

After a short hospital stay, Doris Lorene Andrews, 89, Boise, Idaho went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2018. Doris was born on June 26, 1929 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Sybil and Ottman Hacker. The family moved to California in her early years, and she graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Jose. She married Lee T. Andrews in 1946 and had two sons, Bob and Steve. They spent many years gardening, traveling in their trailer and exploring Boise and surrounding area. During her career as a wife and mother, she worked as a nurses assistant at San Jose Hospital. They retired to Boise 40 years ago. Doris was a long time member of the Summit Church and loved reading and studying the Bible. Doris was a caregiver her whole life. She spent 7 years taking care of her mother and many years caring for her husband of 72 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee T. Andrews and a son, Stephan Andrews.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, Robert Andrews and wife Janet of Port Townsen, Washington; a sister, Fern Whipple of Hydesville, California and several nieces and nephews and many other friends.
Funeral service will be at the Summit Church, Boise on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM with burial at Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
