Emmett Leon Hunsaker

Leon Hunsaker 89 of Meridian died Saturday, June 20, 2020 in a Boise hospital. 

Leon was born in Kirksville, Missouri on December 7, 1930.  He moved to Idaho as a small boy.  He met Eva Holmes and they were married on December 31, 1955.  They lived on their little farm in Eagle where Leon loved raising cattle.  They moved to Meridian in 1982 where he worked for H. Kopple.  When they sold to Pacific Recycling he worked as a crane operator until he retired.  A most important goal in his life was to share scripture from the Bible about God’s Kingdom and the wonderful hope for the future.  He love life and looked forward to living in paradise on earth.  He was a member of the Copper Basin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He was a loving caring husband and father.  His grandchildren were very special to him.

Survivors include his wife, Eva; his son, Steve; Grandsons, Justin, Devon, Brendon and Kody; honorary grandchildren, Michael & Misty Madison.  He was preceded in death by one son, Keith on June 25, 2001.
