Herbert L Booth

Herbert (Herb) L. Booth Jr., peacefully passed away on November 10, 2018, in his home in Kuna, Idaho. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Church of God of Prophecy, 11535 Smith Ave., Nampa. The Military Honors Service will follow at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery in Boise at 1:00pm.
Herbert L. Booth was born in Washington D.C. on November 27, 1937 to Rose Mae and Herbert Louis Booth Sr. He was the second of three children, his sister, Dorothy, the eldest and his brother, Tom, the youngest.
Herb was seventeen when he joined the military. After a short term in the United States Navy, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in March, 1955, and he remained on active duty in the Air Force until his retirement as a TSGT (Technical Sergeant) in 1976.
Beginning in 1969 Herb served two tours at Da Nang Air Base in Vietnam, and was later assigned to Kunsan Air Base in Korea. He did additional tours at other bases all over the globe.
Herb retired from active duty in June 1976. He honorably served his country with twenty two years of skilled and faithful service to his country. Following his retirement, he moved to Idaho in 1975 and worked in the building construction business in the Treasure Valley area for about 25 years.
While working with Micron, he met Mary Wood. They married on August 5, 2000. As a couple, Herb and Mary loved taking cruises. Herb, also, enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
Herb is survived by his wife, Mary Booth, his sister, Dorothy Hanes, three children, Tammy Clement, Robert Booth and Donna Booth, seven grandchildren and one great grandson, Gunner.
