Margaret Rose Santiago, age 75, passed away peacefully October 5, 2021 in Boise, Idaho. She
was born August 1, 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Milton and Geneva Boerger.
Sometimes a moment is created by circumstances that cannot be explained as coincidental. One
of those moments took place in 1969, in the Marshall Islands, on the island of Kwajalein when
Margaret met and started dating William Santiago. They were married on July 17, 1971 in Lake
County, California. They raised their family in Napa, California where they lived for 40 years
before settling in Boise, Idaho.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Santiago. She is also survived by her
stepsons - Lance (Allison) Santiago and Todd (Samantha) Santiago, children - Kami (Greg)
Wright, Derek Santiago, Billy (Kristin) Santiago, and Merilynn (Robbie) Page, 15 grandchildren,
4 great-grandchildren, and siblings - William Boerger, Mary Boerger, Karen (Pete) Bursey,
Ginny (Rob) Kapphahn and Tim (Mary) Boerger. She is preceded in death by her parents, and
stepdaugher, Staci Santiago.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at Cloverdale Funeral Home,
1200 North Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho 83713. A funeral service will be on Friday, October
15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 701 S Curtis Road,
Boise, ID 83705.
