Martha J Kuhlman

Martha Jean Buss was born in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on September 18, 1931 to Louie and Winnifred Buss. The youngest of five siblings, Martha grew up in the Hayden Lake area and as a young woman she worked briefly as a telephone operator for Bell & Howell in Spokane, WA. Shortly after she met Charles Kuhlman and they married December 3, 1952.

Charles career in the US Air Force took them to multiple destinations, including a three-year tour in England when Martha and two young children boarded a steamship in 1955 to join their father. Together they raised seven children and a variety of pets. After retirement in 1970 Charles and Martha settled in Boise, ID.

Martha followed the simple teachings of Jesus and when she chose Him as her Lord, that decision became the foundation of her life, giving her hope, joy and fellowship with many wonderful friends.

Martha is survived by her husband of 66 years, her children; Phillip, Carrie (Dana), Chris, Mark (Dawn), James (Sascha), Katherine, Ellen (David); 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
