Mary Elizabeth Brimson

Born July 20th, 1961

Died February 7th, 2024

Age, 62

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary, who departed from this world on February 7th at St. Lukes in Boise, Idaho. She was 62 years old. We want to thank the dear medical staff that cared for her during that time.

She was born on July 20th, 1961, in Boise, to Anna Marie and Sherman Newman. She was the eighth child and final addition to the Newman family. She grew up in the North End of Boise where she attended St Marys, North Junior High and Boise High. Her family moved to Kuna where she graduated from Kuna High School. She had a longstanding career in Banking. By using her years of experience and personal drive she co-founded Idaho Banking Company. She later received her Masters degree in Banking from the Pacific Coast Banking School in 2009. Mary married the love of her life and soul-mate, Troy Brimson, on July 20, 1996. Together, they built a beautiful life with their three daughters, including spending almost every weekend at their riverfront property in Garden Valley, creating lasting family memories. Mary was a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother and dear friend to many. Her presence brought warmth, joy and unwavering love to all who knew her.

Mary led a life filled with compassion, kindness and grace. She dedicated herself to family, always putting their needs above her own. Her selflessness knew no bounds and her love was unconditional. Mary will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her comforting embrace and her delicious home-cooked meals. She made everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

In addition to her roles as a devoted wife and mother, Mary was also passionate about gardening, karaoke, spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with her loving husband at their oasis in the woods. She brought enthusiasm and dedication to everything she pursued, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Troy, her daughters, Rachael Robertson (Angela), Michelle (Reid) Fontaine, Stephanie (Sean) Claudio and her grandchildren, Laela, Avery, Chet, Malcolm, Johnny, Rowan, Aiden and Kepler. Her sisters, Carolyn Gibson and Anna (Bill) Kirkpatrick, brothers Sherman (Marilyn) Newman, Cal (Darla) Newman and Tom Newman and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister, Marilyn, brother, John and brother-in-law, Daniel (Hoot) Gibson. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary will be held on February 14th, 10:30am, at  Cloverdale Funeral Home. Reception to immediately follow. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children research hospital in Mary’s name. https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?px=8292168&fr_id=154020&pg=personal

Mary will forever remain in our hearts, and her memory will be cherished for generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.

A Loving message from her sister, Annie:

Mary Elizabeth, you filled my arms and heart with pure love when mom brought you home over 62 years ago. You will forever be my little bundle of joy.

Being the youngest of eight siblings, you had the perks but also fought the battles.

Thank you for all the delight you brought to us and the entire world.

Please know, your radiance (inside and out) will be cherished by us all. You couldn't be more loved, sweet Meemsie. Rest in peace little sister.

A loving message from her Aunt Phillis(Bomma):
