December 4, 1959 ~ March 25, 2023 (age 63) 63 Years Old

Tribute

Tamara (DeNinno) Johnson, age 63, residing in Boise, Idaho, passed away on March 25, 2023 from breast cancer.

Tammy was born on December 4, 1959 in Boise, Idaho. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School, Fairmont Junior High, and Capital High School. She was the fifth of six children born of Annibale and Antonetta DeNinno who moved to Boise from Providence, Rhode Island, in 1956. Tammy and her siblings, John, Bob, Sandy, Dave and Debbie, spent their childhood playing outside until the sun went down. Every three or four years, her dad would load up the station wagon, except for one year when they took Amtrak, to go to Providence to spend the summer with their big Italian family! She cherished time spent with family and friends.

Tammy worked in the banking industry for over 40 years. She worked at Northwest Bank where she was VP and Operations Support Manager until her passing. She was admired and respected by many people in the banking industry as well as the community.
Tammy married Blake Johnson on May 25, 1979, in Boise, Idaho. They were blessed with a son, Dustin, on November 23, 1985. Tammy lived a full life and in spite of cancer, she continued to do the things she loved-being outside as much as possible skiing, mountain biking, and hiking with her son Dustin, her family and friends. She was so proud of Dustin who had an amazing music career playing drums for 51Fifty and Main Event. He eventually moved back to Boise to become a mail carrier, but continues to play the drums and mountain bike. He has YouTube channels for both of his passions. Tammy was and always will be his biggest fan.
While in the hospital, Tammy had many visitors. Each time someone would leave, she would say “This is the best day of my life!” To honor Tammy’s memory, may we all experience that same feeling of joy and gratefulness each day of our lives.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Blake, her son, Dustin, sister-in-law, Brenda Krempaszky, and her siblings John DeNinno (Vicky East, deceased), Bob DeNinno (Terri), Sandy Lee (Wally), David DeNinno (Stephanie) and Debbie DeNinno. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Olivia and granddog, Cruz.
